Codornices Park Engagement

Jessica and Al’s Codornices Park Engagement Session in Berkeley
Codornices Park is a sweet little spot right across from the Berkeley Rose Garden. It’s the kind of place that’s perfect for a birthday party, a casual hangout, or just a bit of adventure. There’s a waterfall nearby that feels like a hidden gem—if you take the stairs up to the left of the park, you’ll find a small gate leading onto private property. The owners are generous enough to let people explore the path to the waterfall, as long as everyone treats the space with respect.
Codornices Park also has swings and a play structure, but its most iconic feature is the big concrete slide. You’ll usually find stacks of cardboard there, left behind by thrill seekers. I like to bring a produce box—the waxed cardboard makes for an extra fast ride.
I recently met Jessica and Al here for their Codornices Park engagement session, and it was the perfect setting for their adventurous, playful vibe. They were so easygoing and fun, which made documenting them a total joy. We wandered to the waterfall, played on the swings, and of course, took a few runs down the concrete slide. It was one of those sessions that felt less like work and more like sharing an afternoon of laughter and exploration with friends.

Check out the first engagement session I ever did. It was a fun adventure at the Albany Bulb.
