Mills Chapel Wedding and District Restaurant Reception

Couple portrait at Mills Chapel Wedding in Oakland

A Mills Chapel Wedding in Oakland with a Restaurant Reception

Kate and Simon had a Mills Chapel Wedding in Oakland. It was a morning affair. The day started with some getting-ready pictures at the Mills Chapel. Mills Chapel is non-denominational and was built in the 1960s. It is a stunning space! Kate and Simon held a sweet ceremony in the Chapel. After the ceremony, we took immediate family and wedding party pictures outside. We then did some quick couple portraits before going to downtown Oakland for the reception.

There are all sorts of couples out there.  Really, all sorts of people.  It is so interesting to see how people interact with one another, how they celebrate, what kind of friends they attract, and how they display their affection.  Kate and Simon is a couple with great chemistry.  Their outward showing of gratitude, love, and joy is impressive and inspiring.  After their Mills Chapel wedding ceremony, we went to District restaurant and bar in Oakland and enjoyed bacon and mimosas with friends and family.  They were so much fun to work with.

Check out the Dry Creek Park engagement session I did with Kate and Simon.
