Saline Valley Camping 2008

I just returned from a wonderful week long vacation in Death Valley (Saline Valley to be exact). Spent much time soaking in hot water, eating great food, listening to music, and having conversations with people with names like Garbage Mike and Minnesota Bob.  It rained off and on for about a day and a half before Thanksgiving.  Thankfully the rain let up the day before Thanksgiving and the overcast skies gave way to the sun.  About 150 to 200 people who showed up for the Thanksgiving potluck.  The nights were dark and full of stars.  The crescent moon was just visible as the sun set over the Inyo mountains.  Sunsets and sunrises are always wonderful in Saline Valley.
